Toys & Food Share Collection Service

Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Each year for many years we have collected donations of toys from our congregation for the York Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.

Help us help others!

In recent years we’ve been holding a Christmas Collection Day and inviting everyone in our communities of Haxby and Wigginton to join in with the appeal. We also started taking in donations of food to help the local Haxby Food Share Project at the Memorial Hall.

And we’ve done it again!

Christmas Collection Day

On 30th November Santa and his elves were outside our church welcoming people, and accepting donations of toys and/or food to help people in need.

And then…

Our Toy and Food Collection Service

10am Sunday 3rd December 2023

We’ll be holding a special service at our church to give thanks for all the donations received. Afterwards we’ll be taking them along to the Salvation Army and to the Haxby Food Share Project, ready for them to distribute.

You’re welcome to come along and join us for our service, and coffee afterwards!

If you’d like to bring along a toy or some food to donate, here’s a list of items that the charities have requested:
