Role description: Chair of Management Group
The main purpose of this role is to act as the focal point for managerial matters at Aroma Christian Café Ltd.
Chair the Aroma Management Group
Act as the Line Manager for the Aroma Café Manager
Send regular reports to the Aroma Board of Directors
Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Management Group, Board of Directors, members of staff and volunteers
Liaise with third party advisers/stakeholders (local council, accountant, independent assessor, Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church, York Methodist Circuit) as required
Person specification – Chair of Management Group
Active member of a local Christian church
Some experience of chairing meetings
Experience of line management
Experience of working with volunteers
Some awareness and experience of financial matters relating to charities
Some awareness of employment issues
Time Commitment: 10–15 hours per week, approximately
