News Sheet: 24th April 2022

This week we have…

  • A reminder about the Big Church Breakfast happening this Sunday (24th April)

  • A plea for a few more extra sets of hands to help with refreshments over the Scarecrow Festival's busy periods

  • News about a meeting coming up to consult about a proposed Wildflower Meadow near West Nooks

  • Details of the charities we're supporting through the Scarecrow Festival this year

  • and a Heads Up about ‘old style’ £20 and £50 notes made of paper

There’s also a request to help a disabled lady (not a member of our church, but a close friend of someone who is) find a new home for her Chinchilla.

Scarecrow Festival

The registrations for scarecrows have closed. We’ve compiled the trails, prepared and are testing walking directions, and getting maps etc printed…

All systems are go!

So get ready to come along to our Scarecrow Festival over the Early May Bank Holiday (Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May) for a great time exploring our beautiful Haxby and Wigginton whilst admiring people’s creations.

The final poster is now available to advertise the Festival! You can download a copy from the Scarecrows page on our website to print out and display.
