News Sheet: 25th October 2020

In this week’s News Sheet…

We have an update from Carecent, with thanks for the financial support they received over Harvest. They go on to ask for ongoing help with day-to-day donations to the packed lunches they are making up and giving out.

We also have an update from Refugee Action York (RAY) with thanks for the wonderful donations they’ve received these past few months. But with winter now drawing near, they’d greatly appreciate donations of warm clothing. They’re also organising an online art exhibition of work produced by some very accomplished artists amongst the refugees. Do you have any spare art materials you could donate to help with this? You can find details in the News Sheet.

And finally, we’re encouraging you all to join with our Starry Advent Window Displays. In December, decorate one or more of your windows with stars to celebrate a person, several people, or a group who have been a ‘star’ to you this year — as we remember the star that shone brightly, over the place where the Prince of Peace was born. You find details in the News Sheet, and also in our Star Gazers: Who’s Been Your Star This Year? article.
