Services Returning to the Church Building
On Sunday 5th September we won't be holding a service ourselves.
Instead we join with Central Methodist in York for a York Circuit Welcome Service at 10am. Rev David Bidnell joins us as our new superintendent minister with oversight of the whole circuit, and Rev John Hayward joins us as a probationer minister in his final phase of training. The service will be open to anyone who wants to go, and will also be live-streamed simultaneously.
From the following Sunday (12th September) we will return to holding services in our building each week. These will be at 10am. You can read about our careful resuming of services — where and when — in our special article Services Resuming at HWMC.
Once a fortnight on a Sunday evening, starting on 5th September, Rory will be leading an online study and conversation for anyone in the circuit who wants to explore the book Being Interrupted by Al Barrett and Ruth Harley.
It has a lot to say to the contemporary church about our future as we look back at where we have been, and was published during the pandemic even though it was not written because of it.
Interested in joining in? See the News Sheet for how to buy a copy of the book and details and how to prepare for each session.
