Can You Help RAY?

Might you be able to give RAY (Refugee Action York) a helping hand?

  • The men Refugee Action York have been working with for the last year are likely to be moved on fairly soon and several of them have been asking us for suitcases/bags with wheels or rucksacks to put their belongings in. If you have a case or bag that’s surplus to requirements it would be very gratefully received!

You can find more details about how to help with this in the News Sheet.

Quiztian Aid Quiz

The Quiztian Aid Quiz is available on YouTube for you to enjoy! We’re raising money to support Christian Aid, so if you’re able to make a donation it would be wonderful. But if not, please feel free to enjoy the quiz anyway!

You can find more details in our Quiztian Aid: a Quiz for Christian Aid article.

Sunday Afternoons at the Church

We’re delighted to say that the church building is now open between 5pm and 6pm on Sundays.

The first half hour will be for quiet reflection and prayer, as individuals or in households.

Then, at 5:30pm, there will be a short service led from the front, though we remain unable to sing or take holy communion in any meaningful way.

Please see our Sunday Afternoons at the Church article for details on how this will work.

Aroma is Open Fully!

Aroma is now fully open, with a larger menu again and returning to their normal opening hours of 9:00am to 4:30pm (last orders by 4:00pm) Monday to Saturday.

Indoor seating is available again, subject to the COVID-19 rules — either groups from up to two households (including support bubbles), or up to six people from multiple households. At the moment we still have a reduced number of tables; we can’t increase the number until the next step of lockdown restrictions easing.

You can find more details in our news article Aroma is Open.
