News Sheet: 8th November 2020

Updated: Nov 19

Highlights from this week’s News Sheet…

Liz Spain writes about the new Prayer Walk of Remembrance, which incorporates the displays of poppies at both our own church porch (from Friday 6th November) and the poppies outside St. Mary’s Church.

If you follow this Prayer Walk’s route you will be able to see the Remembrance Sunday Poppy Wall at St. Mary’s, and also an Art Exhibition by Refugee Action York (RAY) in the window of Aroma: of pieces by refugees and asylum seekers currently based here in York. You can also see the Art Exhibition here on our website.

We will continue opening the church building on Sundays between 3pm and 4pm. You can read about how this will works in a COVID-secure way in the News Sheet, and in our special Sunday Afternoons Reflection article.

Remember, too, to prepare for December’s Star Gazers’ Starry Advent Window Displays.
