Toward the end of last year, I mentioned that I would be looking further into sustainability issues and the possibility of going for Eco Church Status, building on the excellent work that Megan Whiteman did for us when she was an intern.
More than anything, I want it to be FUN; a way of getting people together, to share ideas and try new things out. Although we can’t get together too much at the moment, there is still an easy thing we can do which gets us brownie points and gets the ball rolling for 2022. It’s also a great one to do with children and grandchildren too. Here it is:
Sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit.
Nice one, right? My kind of eco action!
The RSPB are doing their annual birdwatch on the weekend of 28th–30th January. You don’t have to be at home, so if you are away you can still take part.
You sit down for a hour, look out of your window, note what birds you have seen and log them with the RSPB. You can register for it through this link to get the resources digitally or sent through the post:
You can also find a copy of the guide in the Resource Library of our website, or get it directly here:
If anyone would like a copy printed for them just let me know. Have fun and let me know how you get on.
