York Pride 2022

Saturday 18th June

York Methodist Circuit, together with St Luke’s Anglican Church and St Columba’s URC are one of the sponsors of York Pride 2022, under the name of Christians at Pride in York.

On Saturday 18th June we will be walking together in the Pride parade, starting from the Minster at 11:45am, to the Knavesmire. We’ll also have a stall all day at the Knavesmire.

If you’d like to take part in this — either the parade, looking after the stall, or both — please contact Deacon Judith Stoddart:

deaconjudithstoddart@gmail.com

Or you can join in the parade as a member of the public. For this, please assemble in High Petergate, Precentor’s Court or Minster Yard between 11:15am and 11:40am.

Alternatively, make your way direct to the Knavesmire to enjoy the afternoon. The main festival starts as the parade arrives at around 1pm. (There’s also an Autism-friendly Quiet Hour on site before this.)

It’s a family-friendly day with a wide range of food & drink outlets and a licensed bar. Dogs are welcome too if kept on a lead.
