What is… our ‘Blue Christmas’ Service?

Updated: Dec 21, 2021

Christmas can be a very hard time for many, for a whole host of different reasons. At this time of year people face the longest nights. They can be burdened with sorrow, loneliness and sadness.

This service is a space for those who find Christmas difficult. It’s a quiet service of carols and readings — a space to set down burdens, to be however you need to be.

And to remember: you are not alone.

Come as you are, and take part as you like.

Monday 20th December, 7:30pm–8:30pm

Haxby and Wigginton Methodist Church, Haxby

We are reviewing and amending some of our Advent and Christmas services in light of the increasing threat from the Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus. Please check the Calendar on the home page of our website nearer the time to ensure this particular service is going ahead as planned.
